How Pot Odds Work

Pot odds compare the current pot size to the cost of your call. The formula is simple:

Pot Odds = Call Amount ÷ (Pot + Call Amount)

If your equity (chance of winning) exceeds your pot odds, calling is profitable. For example:

Pot: $100 | Bet: $50 | Your call: $50

Pot odds: $50 ÷ $150 = 33%

If you have more than 33% equity, call. Otherwise, fold.
